SHREE G. T. SHETH ORTHOPAEDIC HOSPITAL, an exclusively Orthopaedic Hospital was started in 1983 in the holy memory of Shri Gulabchand Talakchand Sheth (Gulabkaka) with the primary motto to serve the people of Saurashtra & Kutch region as there was no Orthopaedic Trust Hospital in this entire area and people had to go to Ahmedabad or Mumbai for Orthopaedic Surgeries and incur hardship and heavy expenditure.
The Munificent Donation of Rs. 43.50 Lacs from Sheth family Trusts and the Gesture of the Gujarat Government have helped us in fulfilling the task of creating this memorable Hospital at Rajkot.
(Late) Smt.Hiralaxmiben Keshavlal Sheth laid the foundation stone of the Hospital on 16th March 1981.
This hospital was founded under the imperative direction of well-known Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. J.C.N. Joshipurasaheb and It was inaugurated by (Late) Shri Dr. K. T. Dholakiasaheb well-known Orthopaedic Surgeon of Asia on 27th February 1983. It is run by Shree G. T. Sheth Hospital Trust, Which was registered on 27.02.1978 under the Public Trust Act bearing registration No.E-772.
This Hospital is unique of its kind having 60-bed Facilities, a Full-fledged Outdoor Patient Department (OPD), Indoor Department, X-Ray, Pathology Laboratory, I.C.U., E.M.G. Centre, Six-Operation Theaters including Two class 100 O.T. Joint Replacement Centre, Micro-surgery Unit, Physiotherapy Department, Workshop for artificial limbs, Ambulance Service, Day & Night Medical Store etc all under one complex.
